The context

With La Poste registering more than 30,000 claims a year, their existing client-server application quickly became obsolete. At the end of 2003 a study was performed to get a clear picture of the needs of the users and internal customers. A call to tender was finally launched for the SIS-NG project (système informatique de la sinistralité nouvelle generation), six solutions were selected.

The Project

The application was launched in January 2006 and was followed by a data migration process of over ten years of historical information. After the installation of an intermediate version in July 2006, the second version was delivered in April 2007. To this day the application continues to evolve.

“La Poste selected Legal Suite for the technical maturity of its modular solutions as well as its attention to our needs. Legal Suite made evolutions to its LS Insurance module in order to answer to our needs” explains Claudine Faure (In charge of risk and insurance IT systems).

The benefits

As an administrator, Claudine Faure is pleased with the user friendliness of the application: “Our old system allowed us only to do one daily update, now that we use the Legal Suite I can add user rights, erase them and validate operations in no time at all. “ Every two months an application management team gets together to discuss possible evolutions; this team is comprised of the administrator, a representative of the 8 management centers, the IT team and a Legal Suite representative.
