at a ccca ottawa event

This event held on Thursday, February 28th, 2008. Topic: Litigation Management. The panel discussed the role of in-house counsel in managing litigation files in partnership with external and how some technology solutions may assist this process.

The discussion focused on Litigation Management for in-house counsel. Participants on the panel were a lawyer from the Fraser Milner Casgrain law firm, a General Counsel who is currently the Secretary and General Counsel for a Crown Corporation and finally the LEGAL SUITE team who shared their years of experience in implementing international projects for legal departments.

LS Canada Inc. had illustrated the benefits a legal department could gain by implementing our software. We demonstrated how legal technology could allow in-house counsel to stay involved by having a snapshot of all the pertinent information regarding a file/case. We were also capable of showing them how our software creates an effective and simple level of communication between in-house and external counsel. It also showed them how it would help their internal communication with different levels of management.

In conclusion, many issues had been addressed and everyone had a chance to voice their opinions. It was a successful event for all participants.
