Legal Information Technology…
OUR HISTORY
The creation of LEGAL SUITE in the mid 90’s
Patrick Deleau, General Counsel of a European engineering firm, created the first three modules of the Legal Suite Software in response to the lack of adequate tools for his legal department: Legal advising, Contracts, and Intellectual Property.
Perceiving the emergence of an unexposed market, he decided to associate with Thierry MALLAT to develop the Legal Suite®. They went one step further by the creation of two new modules dedicated to manage Litigations and the Budget of a legal department.
As early as 1998, many Corporate Counsels showed an interest in this innovative management tool dedicated to their profession. Thierry MALLAT, in association with Bertrand VINCENT, commercialized The Legal Suite® Software.
In response to the increasing demand of world renowned companies, LEGAL SUITE SAS is created in March 2000 and the offer is enriched by two more modules: Corporate and Library.
The following year the intranet version is released convincing the most prestigious companies and uniting hundreds of legal personnel around the world. Two new specialized modules are released: Real Estate Management and Risk Management.
In Response to a strong demand from Human Resources directors, LEGAL SUITE develops a Labour Law solution in 2002, based on challenges unique to HR departments (management of labour litigations, employment contracts and relationships with corporate partners…)*.
* Uniquely intended for the European market.
Convinced by the potential of the marketplace for legal information technology, Patrick DELEAU decided to devote himself entirely to the development of LEGAL SUITE. On October 1st 2003, he was named President of the company.
Innovation destined for corporate counsels
Dynamic database, full web environment, collaborative work (workflow), integration of business directories (LDAP). Your team takes advantage of technological advancements to benefit legal business personnel.
In this spirit, an exclusive partnership was signed with Bouygues Telecom, giving birth to Legal Business Doc®, the next generation of ‘smart’ contract generators. Released in front of 150 legal types at the Eiffel Tower, this new product resulted in LEGAL SUITE receiving the Small and Medium Business Innovation Trophy (“Web & e-business Applications” category), in Spring 2004 and received its second recognition, this time by the Anglo-Saxon legal community with the “Legal IT Award”, held in Edinburgh to Bouygues Telecom’s Legal Department for it’s use of the Legal Business Act®.
As a result of its efforts, LEGAL SUITE was named An "Innovative Young Business" by the French Ministry of Economy, Finances and Industry.
